July 29, 2007 Brickyard Race
Wow, what a great race! The flags where flying high outside of the Press Box in Anaheim, California where the Southern California chapters of The Official Nascar Members Club all gathered this week for the viewing of the Nextel Cup Allstate
400 at the Brickyard. We had over 40 ONMC members and their friends attend this race viewing party. There were door prize drawing during each caution with several nice items given out to the winners of the door prize drawings. We had a “drivers pool” which cost $5.00 to pick a random driver, I just hate it when I get a driver I don’t like and won’t root for. The guests with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place driver’s win cash and the lucky guest who’s holding the last place driver gets their $5.00 entry fee returned. It is so much fun to watch a friend cheering on a driver you know they just can’t stand….. when you look at them funny they turn to you and say “I have him in the pool”, you just have to laugh, cus you know you’d do the same thing.
Our next Southern California Chapters ONMC race viewing party will be held in 4 weeks on August 26, 2007 at Buffalo Wings and Things in Rancho Cucamonga, California hosted by our Rancho Cucamonga chapter. In the meantime if you are having a race party anywhere you may want to check out the Official Nascar Party Decorations and Tailgating supply website to get your party supplies.
