2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Season

Ive had some time during the NASCAR off season to reflect on the 2008 Sprint Cup season. What a silly season it was indeed.  I think my mind is all messed up from trying to figure out who is on what race team and what car number is he driving and what sponsor does he have?  I’m excited about the 2009 season, but at the same time confused as to who went where and what car is he driving. Some great drivers are even without a ride as of right now.  So, I’m going to try to outline the drivers/teams/cars, etc… for the 2009 season:

In the meantime, if you’re going to have a racing party or event or going to the track and you need racing decorations you should visit  the Race Party Decorations & Tailgating Supply Store they have all your race party/event needs along with tailgating and camping supplies.

Here we go…..click on the “more” link to see the “tentative” 2009 Sprint Cup roster.

Getting Ready for a Nascar Party

Well in just 2 weeks from tomorrow we will be heading out to California Speedway in Fontana, Ca. for a 4 day tailgate party in the Napa campground just outside the Speedway parking lot. There’s a lot of planning to be made when you’re going to have a 4 day party. You need to have the “coolest” camping setup in the lot. We party (camp) with our friends and set up a 2-space site. We put up the awnings and canopies and decorate the entire campsite with black and white checkered decorations. We have banners, streamers, giant signs, and the black and white checker board tiles laid down between the 2 RV’s. Of course we buy all our Nascar party decorations from The Official Nascar Party Decorations and Tailgating Supply store. The prices are great and they have everything you can think of to decorate your party with on their site. Now here’s the kicker!!! We got the Ultimate Party Blender from them. This is the most awesome blender you have ever seen. It is a gas powered 4-stroke 48oz stainless steel pitcher, on it’s own stand with telescopic legs. Now that’s a Party Blender if I’ve ever seen one. We also got the Tailgate Freedom Grill from them. This grill actually attaches to your towing hitch receiver and you travel with the grill on the back of your vehicle, just like a bike rack. You don’t have to make room for the grill in your vehicle or the bed of your truck, and you don’t have to worry about the grease getting on other things in the car. I’ll make sure I take lots of pictures of our camp site and post one or two here after the race weekend at Fontana. Hey, and if you’re in the area and see are camp site you can stop by and say hello. We’ll be the one’s with the “Official Nascar Member’s Club” flag flying high in the sky.

Q and A session with Kasey Kahne

Filed under: General Info, NASCAR News — fatcat13 @ 12:53 am

Kasey KahneAugust 1, 2007 the driver of the #9 car, Kasey Kahne, was in California at the LAX airport Marriott Hotel for an exclusive Question & Answer session for California Speedway season ticket holders who renewed their 2008 season tickets by an early bird deadline. I was one of the lucky few who attended this session, I’m the one on the far right in the #9 jersey. I say there weren’t over 150 people in the room to ask Kasey questions and listen to his wonderful answers. I have to chuckle at one of his answers. A 13 year old girl asked him a great question, “If you worked on a pit crew, which crew member would you want to be”, he said he had never been asked that question before. He stumbled around for an answer, mentioned something about loving to change tires, thought that would be neat, then…… he finally came clean and said what he really wanted to do if he were to work on the pit crew. Kasey would love to be a Crew chief. I wonder how many of us NASCAR fans would love to work on a pit crew, or anywhere with Nascar as for that matter.

Well we got to have our pictures taken with Kasey Kahne. Group pictures were taken, but I managed to get a picture of me standing next to him talking to him. I was really trying to talk him into signing my #9 Holiday die cast car designed by Sam Bass and signed by Sam himself when we were in Charlotte, NC in May for the Official Nascar members Club convention, but his “handler” was not letting him sign anything. Oh well, maybe I will get a chance to meet Kasey and get his autograph in September at the race at California Speedway.

Speaking of the race at California Speedway, we plan on having a BBQ at our campsite on Saturday before the Busch race. I guess I have to start planning and getting all the decorations and paper goods for the BBQ, it’s only a few weeks away. If any of you out there are planning on going to the Labor Day weekend race why don’t you contact me and we may just meet at the track. We have a whole group of us that hang out together, we’re all part of the ONMC and we have a lot of fun together. Maybe we’ll see ya there!!

July 29, 2007 Brickyard Race

July 29, 2007 Brickyard Race

Wow, what a great race! The flags where flying high outside of the Press Box in Anaheim, California where the Southern California chapters of The Official Nascar Members Club all gathered this week for the viewing of the Nextel Cup Allstateflags161.jpg 400 at the Brickyard. We had over 40 ONMC members and their friends attend this race viewing party. There were door prize drawing during each caution with several nice items given out to the winners of the door prize drawings. We had a “drivers pool” which cost $5.00 to pick a random driver, I just hate it when I get a driver I don’t like and won’t root for. The guests with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place driver’s win cash and the lucky guest who’s holding the last place driver gets their $5.00 entry fee returned. It is so much fun to watch a friend cheering on a driver you know they just can’t stand….. when you look at them funny they turn to you and say “I have him in the pool”, you just have to laugh, cus you know you’d do the same thing.

Our next Southern California Chapters ONMC race viewing party will be held in 4 weeks on August 26, 2007 at Buffalo Wings and Things in Rancho Cucamonga, California hosted by our Rancho Cucamonga chapter. In the meantime if you are having a race party anywhere you may want to check out the Official Nascar Party Decorations and Tailgating supply website to get your party supplies.

We like to throw great Nascar themed parties. If you want to learn how to throw a killer theme party of any kind you should check out Theme Party Secrets Exposed!

NASCAR WORLD

Filed under: General Info, NASCAR News, NASCAR Party Decorations — fatcat13 @ 1:48 am

We are the CorOur Tour at Victory Junction Gang Campona, California local chapter presidents of the Official Nascar Members Club (ONMC). Our world is the world of NASCAR. Just about every week we attend some kind of a NASCAR party. We get our NASCAR party supplies and NASCAR party decorations from nascarpartydecorations.com. We suggest you check it out and buy all your NASCAR party supplies there too.

This last Sunday, July 15, 2007, our race party was at the Saddle Sore Saloon in Norco, California. We hosted this charity/fundraising event to raise money for The Victory Junction Gang Camp, a camp in North Carolina for kids with serious illnesses. Our fund raiser was a big success and we raised over $300.00 for the kids at this special camp, plus we all had fun watching the NASCAR Nextel Cup race together. We decorated the Saddle Sore Saloon with many black & white checkered decorations that we got from nascarpartydecorations.com, everyone loved the decorations.

There is no NASCAR Nextel Cup race this next weekend 7/22/07 so our next race party will be on July 29th, 2007 in Anaheim, Ca. at The Press Box. For more information on our Official Nascar members Club events you can check out our website at: www.onmcchapter.com/928802
